Human Suffering

Our world is at a point where so many are lost and suffering.  They spend their whole lives dedicated to having more and doing better than what was given to them to find themselves still not fulfilled and alone with no idea what direction to go.

My heart breaks for all the lost souls that want so much more than they have been able to realize in this lifetime.

Its not from a lack of concern, a lack of effort or even a lack of love.  They live life, they do their best and they chase after every possible solution to fulfill their woes, yet they could not navigate this game we call life.  They have tried and in the end lost… their souls ripped apart and trapped in the prison somehow they created from their many failed efforts.  They gambled and lost.  They thought they knew what they wanted.  They believed in something that was not real.  They went down one too many of the wrong paths to find themselves up against the wall with no more moves.

My heart breaks for all those that could not find the light in the center of their being that gives them the guidance, the support, the push, the hint, the strength and all they need to make each step of this journey.

My heart breaks for those that signed up to come into this time and space lost and alone, wanting to rise above to only find that they could not jump high enough, endure well enough or figure out the maze of confusion to reach the other side beyond the point of devastation.

My heart breaks for those that have no hope, that have no understanding beyond the limitations of this time and space and that have no comfort through their trails that reach beyond this realm.

I would love to save the world and bring peace to all those wanting more, but that is not what this world is meant to provide. 

We are faced in this world with a challenge.  We are thrown into one situation or another fit perfectly for our circumstance to push us out of our comfort zones to realize a depth, a realness and new understanding beyond our once simple view of life.  These opportunities provide us with a choice to embrace and push through to a richer experience or one to shrink back and loose what we value most within this dimension of reality, the opportunity to expand beyond our current form and realize a depth beyond simple comprehension.  This is shaping our spirit. 

We want to feel beyond a mental construct.  This world allows us to know the contrast with our suffering.  What is joy without the lack of joy?  What is true happiness without the lack of this elation?  What is love without knowing the depth of losing love, being hated or living the life of indifference?

This world provides us with the chance to stretch ourselves beyond our current limitations and know the depth of this experience in a new way.  The sufferings of others too can broaden our lives.  Connecting at the depths with those that cross our path can radically change our world.  Stretching out and doing the unexpected and bring forth the most amazing change.  Hope is a spark in a field of darkness.  No one knows where this light will shine or where it will lead. 

The angels in this world work though simple people like us.  Our past has burned us and locked our journeys deep within our beings.  Our spirits want to be free and know the heights of truly living.  Many have become lost in the endless cages that trap our spirits.  Next time you are out seeing the world with new eyes, touch someone, give them something more than they expected, and show them a glimpse of the humanity, the best of humanity, which has become a rare almost extinct breed.  Revive the glimmer of hope within your own being by restoring some brightness to another.

This world is filled with so much darkness.  Many are lost and alone.  Children suffer needlessly.  The elderly believe no one cares and the world has passed them by.  We do not want to look at the misfortunes of this world and lock ourselves in pretend worlds filled with false elixirs hoping to live happily forever.

The truth is our journey wares on our soul.  The journey can weaken our beings.  We lose our way.  Our burden becomes too great.  We lose faith.  We sell ourselves short.  We find no more solace in this world.  We turn a blind eye.  We no longer try.

If you were that child being beaten, what would you want others to do?  If you were that old lady crying silent tears of unfulfilled dreams, what would bring you peace?  If you were that young mother with little children suffering, what would you do?  If you were the man face down in the gutter, what would have driven you too that point?

 It’s easy to turn your head and walk away.  The simple path is to keep your eyes on your own life and ignore what you see, hear and know.  This is the wide gate that the many go through.  The narrow gate deep within your soul is the one that take the courage to stand up and be counted.  The inner knowing that what you choose is the right thing not the easy thing.  Finding the true understanding that when you stretch out the help those that do not expect your care, your efforts will influence this world beyond our understanding.

My heart aches for all those we walk by without even noticing their pain.  My soul cries for the unheard screams that go unanswered.

Each of us can do more, be more and become a greater version of ourselves.  With a little effort by each of us, all of us will be in a better place.

My heart goes out and my prayer is that your will as well.
